Technology for Pipe Organs

Practical technology for keeping pipe organs playing.

Aeoline develops focused tools for pipe-organ service, restoration, and problem solving. Our StopGap! systems provide a practical way to restore missing or unavailable notes while preserving the character and function of the existing instrument.

When a pipe is missing, the organ should not have to wait.

StopGap! is designed for a specific problem: one or more notes are unavailable, but major chest, action, or pipe work is not practical right now. The system digitally provides those notes so the organ can remain musically complete while the underlying instrument remains intact.

Designed around real organs

A tool for repair and continuity—not a replacement for the pipe organ.

Aeoline's approach begins with the instrument that is already there. StopGap! is designed for pipe organs with electric keying and can integrate with both traditional electro-mechanical switching systems and modern solid-state control systems. It works alongside the organ's existing pipework and mechanisms, providing a practical bridge when repair or replacement of the original mechanism must be deferred.

Each installation can be voiced and configured for the musical and acoustic context of the organ, rather than treated as a generic electronic substitute.

How it works

From missing note to working solution.

1

Survey

Identify the missing notes, stops, existing wiring, available space, and installation requirements.

2

Configure

Use the Aeoline Configurator to organize the project and determine the appropriate StopGap! resources.

3

Install

Connect the system to the organ, speaker system, and control wiring with minimal disruption to the instrument.

4

Voice

Adjust the reproduced notes to blend naturally with the surrounding pipework and room acoustics.

For organ technicians and institutions

A focused solution for a familiar field-service problem.

StopGap! is being developed as a practical service tool: understandable, configurable, and adaptable to the realities of existing pipe organs. Customer and technician workspaces will provide project planning and documentation through the Aeoline Configurator.

Customer workspace

Aeoline account access is in development.
